Srinagar, Apr 02 (KNO): On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, the teams comprising Sub Divisional Magistrates/Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars conducted mass inspection of Ration Depots/Fair Price Shops across the district.
According to a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), during inspection, five ration depots were inspected in Tehsil Khanyar, eight in Tehsil Shalteng, 29 in Tehsil Panthachowk, 21 in Tehsil North, 17 in Tehsil South, 16 in Tehsil Eidgah and 14 in Tehsil Chanpora.
During the inspection, two Ration depots were sealed by SDM West and three Ration Depots, FPS were found unhygienic. “Based on the report of inspecting officials, DC Srinagar has ordered withholding salary of TSO Qamarwari, TSO Khonmoh, TSO Safakadal and TSO Barzulla till further orders for utter non-seriousness in public Service delivery of providing ration to the public. They have not paid any attention in maintaining hygiene at the inspected ration depots.”
It is also to mention that Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has issued orders for immediate audit of all Ration Depots/ Fair Price Shops—(KNO)
